This is our old home place on the farm were I was raised here with my grand parents. It was remodeled in 2006 with lots of love and holds a special place in our lives. A place to come and relax by the creek. Sit on the porch and rock in the evenings. Fire Pit available by advanced request down by the creek. Only 10 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway with Beautiful Overlooks and Hiking.. A BEARY RELAXING Cabin is located a 1/2 mile from the Toe River for fishing and kayaking. The Penland School of Crafts is 3 miles away and the beauty of the campus can not be beat. We are halfway between Boone and Asheville for all that these two towns offer.

Mountain View, walking trails, water falls etc. Mineral Museum, Rock Capital of the world. The cabin was built several years ago. After I had discovered Little Switzerland and fell in love with the area. Richard my son and I built the cabin. My wife and I both work in a School system so we were able to spend all summer there and many weekends. So there not much time available to share the cabin. As we aged we use the cabin very little and decided other might enjoy it like we did.

Cute 1 bedroom mountain cabin with loft. Escape to the mountains and relax by the outdoor fire pit or have a picnic on the deck with long range Mountain View’s. The cabin is cozy with great wi-fi and TV. King size bed too!! Serene mountain escape for 2 people. Hurricane Helene clean up efforts are still ongoing in the area but the cabin is untouched. Blue Ridge Parkway is still closed but clean up has begun. 4 wheel drive recommended in winter and flexible cancellation.
