Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make you trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We hope that a stay at the Temple will deliver this experience and stay true to this vision.

We are 5 minutes walk to the nearest train station with frequent trains (every 30mins) taking you to Glasgow or Edinburgh city, perfect for the Edinburgh festival, royal mile, or visiting Glasgow's vibrant shopping and entertainment. We have off-road private parking, and is within walking distance to the local supermarket.

We can offer either a super king size double or two single beds as well as all the usual amenities for a comfortable stay.

The exclusive electric hot tub is covered with a custom made wooden shelter for ultimate privacy and shelter from the Scottish weather. The sole hut is located in a small private paddock at the back of our farm in the village of Banton. With WiFi, smart TV, fridge, induction hob, microwave with oven, electric shower and hot water you can enjoy glamping without sacrificing your daily must-haves.

The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.

The accommodation is a 5 minute drive or 17 minute walk to Armadale train station where you can catch regular trains to Edinburgh (30 minutes away) or Glasgow (40 minutes away) making it ideal for sight seeing.
