Welcome to Mildred and Kirk’s Place. Tucked just eight houses from the Watauga River, this simple home once belonged to our great grandparents, Mildred and Kirk. They were a couple whose love shaped generations. Whether you're sipping coffee on the back porch or taking a peaceful walk to the water’s edge, you’ll feel the presence of something timeless here. The house is humble but filled with warmth and gentle updates to make your stay comfortable without losing the charm of what came before.

Creekside Cabin

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay! Creekside cabin overlooks a stocked trout stream. Guests have access to 50 acres of property that backs up to the Pond Mountain Wilderness in Cherokee National Forest. Property is one quarter mile from the Appalachian trail, and just minutes form beautiful Watauga Lake. Also, enjoy world class fishing on Watauga and Holston rivers. It's a great place for fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, boating, or just getting away from it all!

Escape to the Appalachian Mountains in this beautiful 18th century cabin. Only 25 minutes from Bristol Motor Speedway! Less than 2 miles from the beautiful Watauga lake and boat marina. Across from Laurel Falls Waterfall trailhead and the Appalachian Trail entrance. Endless hiking, fishing, fly fishing and numerous outdoor activities surround the area. Also, sit back, relax around one of two firepits, one stone and one gas fire-glass table on the private deck overlooking Laurel Creek.

Country Cottage

Country Cottage gives you the chance to relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay with great mountain views. We are also pet friendly, with plenty of yard to let them play while you enjoy the mountain scenery! The living room has a couch with a queen pull out bed, and the back room also has a pull out futon bed for more guests! The master bathroom has a walk in shower. There is a carport outside of the house that will hold up to 2 cars. We hope you enjoy! :)

River’s Edge “B”

River’s Edge, a serene getaway nestled directly on the Watauga River. This new unit is designed for comfort and tranquility, offering an open-concept layout with a spacious kitchen and living area. It features two bedrooms, one with a full-size bed, the other bedroom provides two twin beds. A private covered deck is available. River’s Edge offers beautiful views.
