We are close to many local lakes and hiking trails and only 30 minutes from Camden & Rockland.

The Cottage at Birch Hill

This charming and inviting guesthouse is an ode to the Maine coast. With a water view and nestled among Birch, Fir and vintage Apple trees, it sits beside a garden growing within an 1892 stone foundation. The bright and sunny interior is colorful, yet warm. The seating area features a picture window as well as a wall mounted television that can also be viewed from the king size bed. The kitchenette is ideal for a continental breakfast or an evening's wine and cheese....a delightful getaway!

"The Lair" Guesthouse

"The Lair" is a just recently renovated small 200 square foot cabin with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural sunlight. The building is located close to Green Tree Coffee and Tea, a coffee roaster, so the aroma of coffee will be in the air. We located about 400 yards South of the Islesboro Ferry and Lincolnville Beach and 2.4 milres North of Camden Hills State Park and Mount Battie. Free coffee from 8 am to 4 pm everyday! We are closed for Winter, will re-open Mid-April. Thank you.

BRAEBURN at The Appleton Retreat

The Appleton Retreat is a short scenic drive to Belfast, Camden, Rockport and Rockland. Braeburn at The Appleton Retreat is down a 1/2 mile driveway, on 120 acres of private land, bordered by a 1,300 acre Nature Conservancy reserve. A 1/2 hour walk on a wooded trail leads to a large secluded pond. Braeburn feels like a treehouse, with expansive windows, overlooking woods and wildlife. Enjoy grilling on the screened in porch and indulge in your private therapeutic year round hot tub.

We are centrally located just a short scenic drive to Camden, Rockport, Rockland & Belfast. Here, you'll wake up to the birds singing and a herd of deer out your window.

This charming spot overlooking the bay is laid back and welcoming. Fully furnished, including linens, basic beach supplies —towels, chairs and umbrella. There is wi-fi and a Roku TV included (you will need your own streaming accounts), an air conditioner, and balcony with a view of Penobscot Bay. We strive to be an allergen free space so do not allow animals. We use all essential oil natural products (bleach disinfectant where needed) and natural laundry soap for our linens.
