The space comfortably sleeps four people (with ability to sleep 6 with a pull-out couch). Enjoy the relaxing sounds of nature by sitting around the fire pit or relaxing in the hammock.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. This is a guest house on our little farm in the country. Our house is right next door but we will give you all the privacy you want. Your stay will include homemade baked goods made by our family, Cold breakfast foods such as cereal and fruit will be available. There is a beautiful pine grove with a picnic area and a fire pit for your use. There is also a massage chair by the electric fireplace where you can relax those aching muscles.

When traveling through northeast Missouri or southern Iowa, keep it simple at this charming cottage with stunning sunsets. The Cottages at Whippoorwill Acres were newly built in 2025 and are located at the junction of Highways 63 and 136 south of Lancaster, Missouri. Kirksville, MO is located 20 minutes to the south, and Bloomfield, IA is located 25 minutes to the north. We have six cottages on the property that accommodate 1-6 guests each. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Rejuvenate, canoe, kayak, fish, boat and enjoy the wildlife. Newly updated, nicely decorated cabin walking distance to Hazel Creek Lake. 530-acre lake is less than 7 miles from stores and restaurants and popular with anglers and waterfowl hunters. Fishing includes muskie, crappie, bass, channel catfish, blue catfish, and carp. Deer and turkey are plentiful for viewing.
