Set in the splendid isolation of South Connemara, Keeper’s cottage is one of two neighbouring cottages in the grounds of Fermoyle Lodge, a Victorian fishing lodge built in 1875. The cottage boasts extensive gardens and spectacular views of the mountains. Close to coral sand beaches and lakes, yet within 40 minutes of cosmopolitan Galway City, the cottage is perfectly positioned. Great hiking, boating and a good choice of restaurants/pubs with live music are within a 15/20 minute drive.

We are 30 minutes away from beautiful beaches,which is situated on the wild Atlantic Way. We are near Rossaveel harbour(30 minutes)where a ferry leaves to the Aran Islands. Pearse's Cottage is also situated nearby. Kylemore Abbey is 45 minutes, where you can have an enjoyable meal and walk around the beautiful grounds. Also Diamond Hill where you have beautiful views.

Recess is a 15 minute drive away with Joyce's Bar serving food and drink and a has a craft shop also. It is also the home of the Connemara Giant. Kylemore Abbey and Letterfrack are a 20 minute drive away where you can explore local history and take a hike on Diamond Hill. Clifden is a 30 min drive which has shops, cafes, traditional pubs and music.
