Favorite local coffee shop. Small shop with specialty coffees with the likes of pour-overs, espresso, and a deconstructed latte that is a must-have if you are a coffee snob like me!

Parks & Nature

This park embodies the spirit of the East Village. The by-gone era of the Tompkins Square Riots of the 80s is long past, but this park still retains its edgey, bohemian style. A great place to soak in the vibe of the neighborhood. Grab lunch at some of the countless restaurants nearby.

Sightseeing

Hands down the best view in all of NYC. It'll set you back around $35ish, but it is well worth it with a view like this. An unobstructed view of Central Park, Harlem, and Upper East & West Sides to the north and the Empire State Building, Flatiron, and Wall Street looking south. If it is a little too pricey, opt to grab a cocktail at the Rainbow Room lounge on the top floor. It doesn't have quite the view, but it's not half bad. Plus you get to sip your cocktail in style.
