Lavrio is a historical city and Port from the ancient times with several picturesque points. The traveler should visit the archaiological museum, the museum of stones, the old city and the new one that reminds an island, with a lot of restaurants, tavernas, cafes, etc. During the summer a festival called "Thorikia" takes place with interesting concerts, performances and exhibitions. From the Port the traveler could take a boat and visit in 1 hour the island of Kea and come back at night.

Cómo moverse
The proper way of move
It is nessecary for your move around to have rent a car, cause there are not shops, tavernas, restaurants, etc in the place, where the fairyhouse is, but a couple klms you could find everything.
The area where the fairyhouse is, called Vgethi, as you will see in the 2 labels on your way driving from the airport, on the Athinon Lavriou road. Do not get confused that the area is called as Mertani on the g. map. It is the same area. Vgethi means the pine tree.

The traveler could find wonderful tavernas with homemade cooking in front of the sea, in the place of Daskaleio, a couple of klms away from the fairyhouse. I suggest you the taverna Litsa, which is an old one and you will feel that you you taste the marvelous cooking of mum exactly in fron of the sea.
There are super markets, restaurants, cafes, etc and everything you need in the city of Lavrio.
There is also a mini market called Stathmos, which is a couple klms away, just a little before the bridge that guides you to the area that called Vgethi (as the labels say).
