The Gardeners Cottage @ Corvisel - cosy & quirky!

The Gardeners Cottage is set within the walled gardens of Corvisel House, built by Rear Admiral John McKerlie in 1829. We have restored the cottage in a vintage, quirky style with Donegal & Harris tweed soft furnishings & floral accents to reflect the glorious garden outside! It's located at the edge of Newton Stewart so very handy for evening strolls to the eateries in town. You can take walks in our small forest from the courtyard & hang out in the walled garden - green fingers are welcomed!!

Osprey Cottage sits only 20 meters from the beach in the pretty coastal fishing village of Dunure, benefitting from: Lounge, kitchen, bathroom (no bath) & 3 bedrooms, bedroom 1 on the ground floor with a king-size bed, bedroom 2 is upstairs, with a double bed and a en-suite shower room. Bedroom 3 is open plan with stairs leading down to the living area please see photos), sleeps 5, private parking, unlimited Wi-Fi, log burner, oil central heating, sea and castle views. Comprising a comfortable living room with a working open fireplace and sofa bed for extra guests, a modern fitted kitchen with all mod cons including a breakfast bar, two bedrooms 1 double & 1 king-size, with good storage space. A contemporary bathroom with a shower over the bath. The cottage is fully equipped for up to 6 people and offers a homely, stylish space for your enjoyment and relaxation.

Country village cottage.

Dunlop is only 1/2 hour drive to some of Ayrshires top golf courses. The train takes less than 30 mins to Glasgow city centre. The village has a community pub, a community cafe(open Thursdays and Fridays for morning coffee and lunch. A newsagent, post office/ shop and an Artisan Bakery ( openThursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) A new craft shop has also recently opened next door to our home. The nearest supermarket is 10 mins. drive away.

Cosy Cottage

The Old Post Office is a cosy little cottage on the High street of Scotland's smallest Royal Burgh. It was built in 1835 and was one of the many homes the local Post office has enjoyed over the centuries. There are steps up to the entrance and the staircase is quite steep and narrow so not suitable for all. The bedroom and bathroom are snug with low ceilings. The kitchen diner has a log burner for keeping the cottage toastie.
