If you’re looking for adventure, our cabin is in a fantastic, centralized location to white water rafting, hiking trails including the Appalachian Trail, Smoky Mountain National Park, and Harrah’s Casino. Also enjoy the creekside nature path located on the property! Truly an ideal retreat anytime of the year.

We are open! Sit in the rockers with your morning coffee, eat your meals at the kitchen table or sit in front of the fireplace all while enjoying the amazing view! The hot tub is located on the deck overlooking the beautiful Mountain View. We are just 20 minutes away from Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 10 minutes from Tsali Recreation, 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee and The Blue Ridge Parkway. There is a book in the cabin with other recommendations

We can't adequately describe how peaceful it feels to relax in the HOT TUB while watching sunsets turn the sky purple over the Smoky Mountains & Nantahala Lake. Evenings around the Fire Pit w/the stars are simply magical! Guests can use our kayaks for free and have the option to rent our Pontoon Boat - parked right at our private dock. Local activities include Hiking the Appalachian trail, Whitewater Rafting, Fishing, & enjoying the Indoor Fireplace while the kids play pool & watch movies.

Mateo 39A at Nantahala Weddings - pets allowed

Pets allowed. $75 pet fee per pet. $150 penalty if you fail to indicate number of pets via "Guests" drop-down menu when you book. The Mateos are 4 small bungalows with eye-popping views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains through an 8-foot sliding glass door. Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible.

HOT TUB! Lots of things to do at our River House Retreat. Fish from the bank, watch the rafters and kayakers float by. Enjoy the night sky and river at night by the fire pit and relax with a cool beverage by the river. If that is not enough excitement, how about a whitewater raft ride down the Nantahala River. A short walk to Paddle Inn for boats and stop off at your own private retreat for a half way break or just relax on the covered porch and watch the river pass by.
