Karaka Alpaca B&B Farmstay

Escape the hustle and bustle of city life at Karaka Alpaca Farm stay, just 15min from Dunedin's CBD. Our 11-acre farm has alpacas, Buster the cat, horses and sheep as well as stunning views over the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean. Located less than a 5 min drive to Dunedin’s iconic Tunnel beach, where you can explore rocky coastlines and a hand carved rock tunnel. There is an adjacent studio very similar in set-up with a queen and a single bed. Off-street car parking is available right outside the space.

Tūī retreat - a nature lover’s paradise!

If you love being surrounded by nature but also desire proximity to town, this is the place for you! The tui retreat is a quiet and serene space surrounded by native bush and bird life. You’ll stay in the sleepout, which is a brand new, fully insulated, space which is fully detached from the main house. It has a queen bed (linen and electric blanket provided), it’s own private bathroom, mini fridge, table and chairs, and tea/coffee making facilities.

Plus 2 minutes walk to childcare or local playground, 3 minutes walk to Kaikorai Valley College . It’s perfect for a single or a couple for short term stay.

Relax in a peaceful and private cabin surrounded by gardens. Watch the sun set over Round Hill, then wake up to birdsong from the kowhai tree in front of your private balcony. All this, just an 8 minute drive from town. The cabin has all the amenities you need, except for cooking! It has a bar fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. Stay 3 nights or longer and we'll bake you some crusty, fresh bread.

A beautifully restored two bedroom 1880s settlers cottage offers a blend of historic character with modern comforts nestle in a pretty setting, just a short distance from the city where you can visit local shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.
