Doorstep footpath takes you 200 mtrs down to river Monnow where it can be followed to picturesque Llanrothal church & Tregate bridge within 1/2 mile.The location is truly idylic

The Wood Den - unique secluded cabin for 2
This memorable place is anything but ordinary. A compact wooden den set in it's own secluded area of a Monmouthshire smallholding. Picture window overlooking stunning views of countryside and across to 13th Century Grade 1 listed church. Plenty of walks and dogs allowed ( fenced area if they aren't too sure about livestock ). FYI - we have adjusted our pricing ahead of the Airbnb June deadline to include all fees - ie we now pay the extra booking fee charges they used to charge guests direct.

Enjoy the morning sun over breakfast, near the open door and listen to the birds.

Walkers Rest at The Hayloft - The Brecon Beacons
Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

Surrounded by woodland with hilltop views across the Wye Valley to Offa’s dyke, this eco friendly traditional Monmouthshire cottage is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature at its very best. Spend time in the garden listening to bird song and the gentle babbling of the stream or step out the gate to explore Cleddon Falls and beautiful view points along the Wye Valley walk. The medieval village of Trellech and Tintern Abbey are also within easy reach off or on road by foot, bike or car.

The Welsh Gatehouse is a beautiful historic house with modern amenities. Imagine staying in a fairy tale castle built in 1270. The thick walls, ancient windows & steep spiral staircase say 'history'. Romantic log fires keep you warm you in winter, & the thick walls keep you cool in summer. Views from the top of the tower are extraordinary over the Severn Bridges and the Breacon Beacons (NB we call this the terrace in our description below). Unique, luxurious, quirky yet comfortable.

Dry Dock Cottage
Relaxing is easy in Dry Dock Cottage: there’s a cinema snug, roll-top bath and king-size bed. The high-tech gadgetry means that, at the touch of a screen, you can control the heating, close the blinds, dim the lights and play your favourite music. With spectacular views from all four levels, this open-plan former dry dock sits at the very water’s edge. Open the bi-fold glass doors from the lounge area, to get even closer to the ducks and the boats that pass by. Pets are welcome, too.

Welcome to The Potting Shed! A cosy couples retreat, renovated to a very high standard, with many funky features and fantastic attention to detail. Just a stroll away from our friendly, foodie village pub, right on Offa’s Dyke path. It’s a special place, nestled in its own little corner of my garden, with an emphasis on luxury and lovely things. Transformed from my everyday potting shed, it’s now a spacious, warm and welcoming hideaway for two which I’m very proud of.

A beautiful grade II listed cottage with original features in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It sleeps 4 with two bedrooms and a shared Jack and Jill bathroom complete with complimentary Bramley products. Family and pet friendly, enjoy the incredible walking, tourist and dining scene close by with multiple Michelin stared restaurants and historical sights near by. This cottage comes with a wood fired hot tub and a private stretch of river with fishing rights.

Isel Ysgubor (Low Barn) in beautiful countryside.
Isel Ysgubor (Low Barn in Welsh) is a one bedroom converted premises. It is located in an idyllic quiet part of Monmouthshire with many wonderful walks, cycle and running areas in the general locality. Monmouth town centre is approximately 10 minutes drive away, where there are a variety of restaurants, cafes, superstores, pubs and the sort of facilities that one would expect to find in an old Market Town. A place to be enjoyed through all of the seasons.

Local attractions include The Brecon Beacons National Park, Cardiff city and Bay, Bike Park Wales, Cwmcarn Forest, Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and The Big Pit National Coal Museum. Perfect Dog walking country.
