Castleton is lucky to have two great pubs The Downe Arms with fabulous food and atmosphere right across the road and The Eskdale which serves lovely ‘fine dining food’ but also lovely just for a drink. There’s the Old Chapel Tearoom, a Londis & ‘Off the Scale’ shop We are also along the Esk Valley train line to Whitby

The Owlery at Mill Farm

Recently converted, the Owlery is the perfect self-catered rural escape for couples. With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and En-Suite shower room. The Bathroom offers complimentary Bramley products and cotton bathrobes. Both areas are underfloor heated. There is a private garden.

The Smithy at Cross Pipes, Goathland

The Smithy is a self contained stone built cottage situated on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. It was built in the 1800’s and was originally one of two blacksmiths serving the community of Goathland. The Smithy offers you a comfortable base to visit the local area. Spacious studio accommodation with a king sized bed in a recessed area, walk in shower and toilet, full kitchen facilities, wood burning stove, TV and Wi-Fi. There is an outside seating area and private parking.

We're ideally situated just off the popular cycle routes and activity centres. Come and stay in the beautiful village of Rosedale Abbey in the spectacular North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Moo’s is our converted stone cottage with a lovely living kitchen with cast iron stove and a vintage country feel. A handmade turned staircase leads up to the en-suite bedroom with metal bed stead and roll top bath. Adjacent there is a spacious covered patio area with seating, dining and storage, which looks across to an outdoor patio with fruit trees seating and parking space.

Sunrise Cottage is a delightful one bedroomed cottage in a stunning location. Hartoft is close to the better known Rosedale Abbey in the outstanding North York Moors National Park. The detached cottage has its own private, outside seating area and parking, sitting in a tranquil setting on a small farm. There are fabulous views up and down Hartoft Dale to the forests and the moors. Inside enjoy comfort, a well equipped kitchen and sleep in a luxury super king size bed. Time to relax!

Crumbleclive Cabin

Crumbleclive is a beautifully restored 100 year old cabin set within the dramatic backdrop of Crunkly Ghyll. It was originally the ‘Gun Room’ for the local estate in the 1890s! The Cabin has a balcony overlooking the gorge with the River Esk rapids visible at the bottom. Surrounded by Oak trees you will feel amongst the treetops as birds gather on the branches around you and fly through the gorge below. It is perfect for couples wanting a romantic getaway to recharge the batteries!

Maltkiln House Annexe North Yorkshire moors

Maltkiln House Annexe is the perfect getaway for two people who love to be in the countryside. You can enjoy uninterrupted views sitting at the bottom of the garden which is your own space. The Annexe dates back to the 16th century and is full of charm. You can walk from our Annexe straight up onto the Cleveland way where you can walk or bike for miles. Our Annexe is a popular stop off for people walking the coast to coast. We are also very close to some great pubs and restaurants.

Stunning rural shepherds hut

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.

Old Forge in Wrelton, North Yorkshire.

This cottage, in the village of Wrelton near Pickering, was a 19th century blacksmith's forge and has now been renovated into a delightful living space complete with fully-equipped kitchen, large living room area, bathroom with walk-in shower and a cosy bedroom located on a mezzanine floor which is reached via a spiral staircase. The Old Forge offers a great location for a relaxing stay in beautiful North Yorkshire.
