At the bottom of the high street is the stunning Lymington quay on the cobbles, a popular place for a coffee or grab a local boat trip. Nearby there are beautiful walks and a marina. Rose Cottage is a 3 bed cottage (sleeps 5 plus infant) situated less than 5 mins walk from the stunning beach at Freshwater Bay. Close by is Tennyson Down with its stunning cliff top walks to The Needles as well as beautiful beaches at Totland & Colwell Bay. The cottage has an enclosed front and rear garden plus off street parking. Within short walking distance are Dimbola Tea Room, The Piano Cafe, Farringford House, The Albion, the bus bar and a visiting pizza van in the summer.

Step out of the back gate and onto the bridleway leading over the downs to our favourite place, Compton Bay.

The ferry comes into Yarmouth from Lymington and is a short walk up the hill to our home.
