Enjoy the opportunity to stay in one of Derwent Valleys Grand Designs. This spacious studio space expanded over the bottom floor of the house, offers a queen size double bed, ensuite, full kitchen, dining table and living area. National Park is located in the upper Derwent Valley. The accomodation is 5min drive to Mt Field National Park. Maydena bike park just a 15min drive up the road. There is an abundance of beautiful walks with a selection of river valleys, waterfalls and giant trees.

The property is nestled into the base of the Great Western Tiers which provides great opportunity for bushwalking and wildlife viewing. Blackwood Cottage is the perfect place to use as a base for outdoor adventures or as a place to relax in front of the fireplace.

Nestled in the Heartlands of Central Tasmania this is the place to get away from it all & relax in winter or summer. A short drive from Bothwell & Miena surrounded by The Great Lake, Penstock Lagoon & Arthurs Lake you'll be in trout country here. You can fish or just relax snuggled on the couch with a good book. Accommodation located within 10 minutes drive to the spectacular MOUNT FIELD NATIONAL PARK. Cottage was built in the early 1900's in the picturesque Derwent Valley. The cottage is set on 13 acres and is private with your own fully fenced yard. We give you your privacy but if you need us, we are close by to assist. The cottage makes a welcoming break between Hobart and Strahan. Cottage caters to children over 12 years of age only.
