Troedyrhiw is a sanctuary, a two bedroom, detached, character stone and beamed cottage nestling in a peaceful, wooded valley on the Carmarthenshire/Pembrokeshire border where nature is thriving. Rustic and comfortable. We are doggie friendly, so are happy to welcome well behaved dogs. Troedyrhiw is the perfect base for being in nature, walking, cycling and exploring the scenic areas of this beautiful part Wales. The cottage was built in the 1800's and is a traditional, stone Welsh cottage.

A beautiful self contained cosy cottage with log burning stove, in the heart of the Carmarthenshire countryside and within an hour's drive of the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog) National Park. The cottage is also ideally situated to visit Aberglasney Gardens, the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, and the National Trust Dinefwr property and castle nearby. A crogloft is a traditional Welsh mezzanine, tucked away in the eves. Somewhere to quiet retreat to. Gwarcwm's Crog Loft is at the heart of the home, an old farmhouse beautifully restored. We hope you will love it as much as we do. The house is attached to a small field that slopes steeply down to a river at the bottom. We've recently finished building a sauna next to the river and installed a wood-burning hot tub, making this a perfect place to wind down when the day's adventuring is done.

There are not many footpaths, but a maze of country lanes provide opportunities to walk and cycle.
