This urban oasis creates a wonderful setting to enjoy Freedom Park with direct access to the Atlanta Eastside PATH trail and connectivity to the famous Atlanta BeltLine. Candler Park is a walkable Atlanta neighborhood east of downtown and just south of Ponce De Leon Avenue. It was one of Atlanta’s first suburbs and was founded as Edgewood in 1890. It's home to many talented people, plus some great shops, restaurants and bars. In addition to the reserved parking space in the main driveway, there is also free parking on the street in front of the main house. ~1 mile from two MARTA stations - Candler Park and Inman Park stations. Starbucks and Aurora Coffee within walking distance. Freedom Park path access to the Atlanta Beltline. The carriage house is directly behind the main house and has 1223A just to the left of the carriage house door. There is plenty of outdoor lighting and security cameras.

There's no access to the downstairs. You can also relax on the front porch or back deck overlooking 9 wooded acres.

Welcome to our home in Athens! Our home features 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, a large living area, and beautiful back porch ready for you to relax on. Conveniently located, we are a short drive to UGA's campus, Downtown Athens, Normaltown, and other surrounding areas. For those visiting for UGA football games, we are an easy 15 minute drive to Sanford Stadium. Downstairs is the master bedroom, master bath, living area, and kitchen. Upstairs you will find the other two bedrooms with a shared bathroom.

Greek Revival Farmhouse

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Pierce Farmhouse was built in 1870 as a wedding gift for a son. We have owned it for 20 years and have made another set of renovations to bring it back to its original charm and character while making it more comfortable with modern amenities. The farmhouse sits on 60 wooded acres in High Shoals and guests have access to our pond for fishing and river for canoeing. We are 20 minutes from Athens, and 15 minutes from Monroe and Madison.
