Located in farmland but not far from the village of Dannebrog, where you’ll find great pizza and fresh baked goods. There is also a fine grocery store with all the essentials. If you need a bit of retail therapy, Grand Island is only 20 minutes away. There you will find most everything including the Crane Trust, a crane sanctuary.

Welcome to "The Pepper Shed" named after our black lab. This is a unique utility shed with built-in living quarters located next to our family home located along the Cedar River. Beds are located in open loft upstairs and bathroom is located on the ground level. While staying, feel free to make yourself at home with private access to a patio, dog kennel, walk out balcony with full accommodations of Wi-Fi, TV with Roku, washer and dryer, outdoor grill and full kitchen.

Being the home of a former corner gas/service station, we remodeled the inside to make it quaint, comfortable, and entertaining for a passer through or visitor of the small town of Palmer. Find peace and solitude as you relax and unwind in our quiet neighborhood. Our cottage was enhanced with new flooring, new furniture, and appliances in 2024, and also with a remodeled bathroom. The big front porch is the perfect place for morning coffee or an evening meal. A quiet street with a corn field to the south of the cabin and a grassy meadow on the other side. Just across the meadow is the Scotia Rec Hall with playground equipment.
