Quirky Tin Cottage near the Mendip Hills

Our cottage is a quirky wooden framed, tin clad cottage, sitting on the banks of a stream, next to our house. Although small it feels much bigger with a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It can sleep 4 people with the use of the sofa bed. It features a wood burning stove, (it also has central heating ;-)), a gorgeous mural across one wall, a veranda for sitting and watching the world go by, oh and it also has full WiFi, smart TV and sound system if this all sounds a little rustic.

Parking space. situated in a small country village, lovely walks on the doorstep and close to Bristol, Bath, Wells and Cheddar. Bristol Airport is 20 minutes away. The Beautiful Chew valley lake is 3 miles away and is ideal for walks, bird watching and fishing. Other attractions within an hours drive are stone henge, Weston Super Mare, Longleat safari Park. The perfect base for visiting the West Country.

1 Gloucester Cottages is nestled in the quaint mining village of Stanton Drew in the Chew Valley, Somerset, The village is home of the prehistoric Stanton Drew stone circles, the second largest stone circle in Britain after Avebury. The cottage is great for families and couples, it has a fully equipped kitchen and is furnished through out, a king sized bed and double with all linen included. We have fast wifi, parking and an open working fireplace for those cosy nights in with a bottle of red.

We are surrounded by fabulous pubs and places to visit e.g Chew Valley Lake, famous for its bird watching. East Harptree is a beautiful village with lovely walks and woods accessible straight from the door. The apartment is of a high standard with separate bathroom, bedroom and lounge/kitchen. It is spacious, comfortable and cosy.

Harptree Cottage is a three bedroom barn conversion centrally positioned in the beautiful peaceful village of East Harptree, part of the Mendip Area of Outstanding Beauty. A perfect base for an active break there are an abundance of fantastic walking/running or cycling routes from the doorstep, yet we are also only a short hop from the cities of Bristol, Bath and Wells. In addition to the beautiful surroundings we really are spoilt for choice with great pubs and restaurants nearby!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Directly opposite Blagdon Church, with beautiful walks to be discovered nearby and of course a stunning view of Blagdon lake. The New Inn Pub (next door) is run by Yeo Valley, offers lunch and dinner as well as breathtaking panoramic views of the lake over a drink in the gardens. The bedroom has a double bed but we can also offer a sofa bed in the living room & travel cot (if needed).
