Welcome to Stoney Lonesome Retreat. Why Stoney Lonesome? Not entirely sure, you can blame it on my great grandfather, old Fredrick Richard August Christian Uhde. He named the property back in 1972 and the name has stuck!!! My parents Elward and Susan purchased our property in the summer of 1969 for $500 and we have been here ever since. My brother and I were raised here and now my wife Gretchen and I are so proud to be raising our son Simon here. The third generation on this land.

Located 3 blocks off of US Highway 2 it is within walking distance of amenities such as a grocery store, laundry mat, post office, gas station, gift shops, and restaurants. It has a full kitchen and can sleep up to 4 people with a queen bed and a full size futon (both located in the living area). Relax in the yard and enjoy the beautiful Mountain view.

We are in the foothills of the Whitefish Range of the Rocky Mountains with easy access to trails and public lands. Hiking and biking on the world class Whitefish Trail is just up the road. The many lakes close by offer fishing, kayak/canoeing and swimming.

Come and enjoy all the beauty the Flathead Valley has to offer. Cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with living room and full kitchen. We are located 10 miles from Glacier National Park and 6 miles from Hungry Horse Reservoir. We are 1 mile from Hungry Horse which has a supermarket, gas station, laundry mat, post office, and restaurants. PLEASE NOTE we are located right next to a bar and you will hear noise.
