The Artist's Retreat Guest House is a two-bedroom Craftsman bungalow in the Earlham College neighborhood that welcomes adults visiting our community of Richmond, Indiana. It features a living area, a fully equipped kitchen, a library filled with art books, a garden, fine antiques, and works by regional and international artists. Sorry, but no children, pets, or smoking. We keep the house allergen-free and many of the art pieces are too fragile or heavy for the safety of children and animals.

This is a small cottage, an old home built around 1900. It is right across the street from Earlham College, and just off Historic Nat’l Road/Highway 40. We are an easy walk to a grocery, medical care, a hardware store, restaurants, and churches. The Whitewater Gorge & Cardinal Greenway Trail is also within walking distance. We keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located guest home. This listing includes: two private bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, bath and living/dining room.

It sleeps up to 6 in 3 upstairs bedrooms; with half bath on main floor, full bath upstairs. We do not allow pets. The place is kid-friendly, across from a wooded city park with rentable shelters, a playground and a basketball court. In a quiet residential area 3 blocks from Earlham College, 3.7 miles from Reid Hospital/IU East, 2.5 miles from Wayne County Fairground.

Supplied cooking appliances include a gas grill, air fryer, and instant pot. Mini fridge/freezer in cabin. Running water from spicket. New outdoor shower!Outdoor port-a potty .Also has area for fire, wood available to purchase. No linens or trash bags provided and trash must be carried out. No pets! The seasonal hot tub is up by the barn!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The rental includes the entire 1200 sq. ft. lower level of the cabin. The walk out patio puts you 8 ft. from the edge of the woods. There are deer, turkeys and the occasional peacock. The pond is stocked and you are welcome to fish. There are also goats that live on the premise. The living space has two bedrooms and a pull out couch. All the living space has been newly remodeled. You are free to enjoy the entire 20 acre property.
