Our secluded cabin is surrounded by ancient oak tree forest and all the wildlife that comes with it. It’s so peaceful that you will only hear the river and the birds. Set in 10 acres of our own land for you to explore and easy access to Snowdonia public foothpaths, it’s perfect for those looking to spend some time in nature. The cabin itself features private wood fired hot tub, wet room, underfloor heating, large deck with bbq, kingsize bed, kitchen, living and dining area and a private cinema.

Borth-y-Gest, quirky cottage close to coastal path

Hen Gegin is a recently renovated 18th century “out kitchen” to our main farmhouse. The cottage is ideal for a couple, is separate from our house and completely self contained with a space for parking right outside on our drive. The area is quiet and very beautiful with only a short walk to the beautiful beaches of Borth-y-Gest and Morfa Bychan. Only a 15 min drive to Eryri - Snowdonia National Park. Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) is only 14 miles away. Set on a family farm, the cabin is a peaceful luxurious retreat with spectacular views of Snowdonia and Cardigan Bay. Cattle graze in open pastures all around. The faint sound of the stream running in the distance that you can wonder down to through the ancient woodland. Enjoy views from Snowdon down the Welsh coast from a king size bed. The warm glow from the fire flickering on the pillow. The large rainfall shower and warmth underfoot from underfloor heating perfect on a cold evening.

It is a few minutes drive to Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and is equally close to beautiful beaches. It is an ideal location to explore all the many attractions that this stunning area has to offer. The location of the lodge makes it a great place to truly unwind perhaps sit on the deck or be cosy inside, watch the waterfall and listen to the sound of birdsong.

The Welsh Coastal Path runs behind the garden. There's wifi and Sky TV. Cleaning, bed linen and towels are all part of the service; I just ask guests to enjoy the house with care.
