This is a great place with a beautiful lake. It is a historic place as this is the dam that was burst by the UK air force during the second world war. Lots of lovely terraces and flat walk on promenades by the water and a nice boat ride. The drive to the Edersee Dam is 60km and takes about an hour. The Kellerwald, a historic Forrest, is south of the Edersee. The route to the Edersee takes you past the visitor centre, the NationalparkZentrum Kellerwald which gives more information on the forest.
