Harlingen has more monuments than Amsterdam, and is a lot more beautiful. And you can take the boat from here to the Dutch isles.

Great town to visit, browse the small city centre, smell the fresh salty air from Unesco World Heritage site: the Waddenzee! Ferries to the islands depart multiple times a day. Our guest recommend cafe Nooitgedacht (very good food and great kids corner) and Atelier Swoop (very nice coffee).
