In the eastern area of Sanremo you can visit the park of Villa Ormond, full of exotic and rare plants. The current modern road has divided the original park in two that once descended to the sea from the top of the hill, on which stood the villa that belonged to the family of Dr. Ormond. In recent times the Municipality of Sanremo has spent considerable sums to restore the villa to its former glory. The gardens of Villa Ormond have a "room" layout with very distinctive plant environments: palm grove, cedars, ficus area, while the central part refers to the typical Italian garden.
