On your doorstep, approx 15 minutes drive away is the famous Jamaica Inn. Made famous by Daphne du Maurier's 1936 novel, this greystone hotel and pub dates from 1750, when its remote Bodmin Moor location attracted smugglers. It's 4 miles' walk from Brown Willy, the highest hill in Cornwall, and the A30, halfway between Bodmin and Liskeard.

This bar restaurant comes to life in the evenings, with locals and tourists alike. The live music is fantstic and there is a large heated outdoor area. It's less than a ten minute walk along the coast too.
