Alternatively take any Metro at "Carolina Michaelis" direction (Estadio do Dragão;Fanzeres;Campanhã), get off at "Trindade", walk one level down, take another metro direction "Santo Ovidio", get off at "Estação S.Bento". Enjoy a walk through the old town of Porto via Rua Mouzinho da Silveira or the famous Rua das Flores till Ribeira. You will pass many interesting sights.
