this is an amazing area for mountain biking. There is a 6.7km red run just a mile from us here at Cambrian Escapes, called Cwm Rhaeadr. There are also some legendary Black Runs - The Gap and the Black Mountains Blitz. Family friendly mountain biking around Usk Reservoir, plus red and family runs…

One of Britain's breathing spaces and the world's 5th International Dark Sky Reserve. Visit the National Park Visitor Centre for information, refuel in the Tea Rooms, visit the shop, enjoy the views while the children explore the outdoor play area.

This was the first national park in the UK...and you can understand why. It is quite simply stunning. There are a range of landscapes from snow covered mountains to caves and lowland rivers.

“Yummy! This is the best Thai food we've eaten in a long time and we're happy to drive to Brecon for a meal at Chang Thai. The service is great, the atmosphere is relaxed and always busy and the food is superb. Try some of the options on the menu that are new to you - the staff helped us to select lots of new delicious options. ”

“Amazing food. I personally don't like eating in their restaurant(a bit dark & always a long wait), but their takeaways are mighty fine! (but please leave your curry wrappers in the shed and not the hut over night!)”
