Great kids activities like trout fishing (kids guaranteed to catch a fish!), also fun for adults. Turangi is seat of excellent trout fishing, for all you freshwater angler types.

Ask about their private trout fishing guided tours and kids activities over the holidays. New Zealands Premier Freshwater Centre where you can feed beautiful rainbow trout, learn about conservation and native fish and maybe see a Kereru, Tui or a Whio on the Tongariro River. Open 10am - 4pm Daily

Free entry to the trout centre. Visitor centre/freshwater aquarium entry $15 for adults but accompanied children free. open daily from 10am to 3 pm.
