Bothanical garden in Oporto presents many exhibitions in their gardens. Spreading across over 4 hectares and with a layout dating from the XIX century, the Museum’s “green lung” contains a variety of gardens and spaces that frame two main buildings that have recently been subject to requalification: Casa Andresen, whose name evokes two important names from the XX century Portuguese literature – Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen and Ruben A., and which currently harbours the Hall of Biodiversity – Ciência Viva Center, a space dedicated to the dissemination of the biological sciences, evolution and biodiversity; and Casa Salabert, which harbours U.Porto’s E-Learning Café – Botânico.

There's a little paradise in the center of Porto. An historical place, it was the home of one of the most important portuguese ppoetess, Sophia de Mello Breyner. There you enjoy a very calm and quiet garden, with lots of different plants from around the world. Sometimes they have exhibitions and festivals happening, so see their agenda to fit something in your stay. - 40 min walking (or 20 min by public transportation)
