The last spike is a historic location. During tourist seasons there is a gift store that is open to guests. Also there is a nature trail located across the hwy that leads to a beautiful water fall. The trail is short but very sweet. There is handrails at sloped areas easy walking a bit of a slope but not too bad of a walk.

The Last Spike is a wonder to see. Many historical details to learn and museum items to see.
