Haviland Lake is very close by. It's just a quick drive north. Picnic spaces, fishing, swimming and hiking.

Haviland lake is one of our favorites for outdoor activities. You can expect great views, good fishing, scenic hiking, and a good lake for paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing.

A small mountain lake just South of Purgatory Ski Resort surrounded by some of the most spectacular views. This is a great place to kayak, paddle board, swim, fish, hike camp and picnic. The Osprey put on quite a show late day and into sunset as they feed. This lake is surrounded by incredible hiking trails. Look to the app called ALL TRAILS for more specifics on them. There is also a horse back ride company as you make your way into the area. Inquire with them about those options.
