One of top fine dining locations in the Mammoth aree and located at the historic Tamarack Lodge. Not a large dining room but while you are waiting the lodge provides an authentic old time area to wait, have a drink and play games in front of the roaring 1920's era fireplace.

This is a fine dining experience in a rustic setting. A local favorite and very good. Entrees are in the $35-50 range. My go to special place. This rustic lodge with a delicious French Restaurant and extremely cozy great room is worth visiting - every season. Try a spiked warm drink by the roaring fire. Better yet, first go cross country skiing or snowshoeing, then try that warm drink or chili. When you want to splurge, the Lakefront Restaurant is the way to go. It is excellent. And, the Lakefront is accessible by Trolley, which starts just around the corner from your front door. Well, maybe a couple of corners, but very close.
