Tour Hobcaw Barony, a 16,000 acre track on a peninsula called Waccamaw neck in Georgetown County South Carolina. The Property includes more than 37 historic buildings and structures representative of the eras of both 18th and 19th century rice cultivation and 20th century winter retreat. Hobcaw Barony had two original slave settlements from the 1890’s. There are several antebellum slave cabins built prior to the Civil War. Hobcaw Barony was named to the national register of historic places on November 2, 1994.

Come enjoy the history of Pawleys Island. This village was recreated in cooperation with Clemson University and you will get a great feel for how Pawleys became a seaside resort.
