The ‘most local’ pub ever

This pub has recently reopened (July 2017) as a community-owned pub/ cafe (and soon post office). It does real ale, gin and very reasonably priced food and has appeared on national tv and newspapers on opening because of its 255+ owners who have helped to renovate the pub and bring it back to life. The view from the outside seating down the valley is lovely and the pub is located in the old part of Holbrook village. Well worth a visit. An upwards 20 minute walk and a nice downwards walk back to the Station after! The cafe (Spotted Calf) also opens daily for tea and cakes etc. Well worth a visit

One of our favourite pubs in the area! Community owned, great food and real ale selection, and a buzzing, cosy atmosphere. We like to walk there (about 1 hour) and taxi back, but it’s an easy drive too. This is a really popular place, so weekend bookings are recommended at least week in advance.
