National Trust beach under 30 mins drive away; amazing rock pools (sometimes they do tours for little ones) and lovely little cafe. 1.5 mile coastal walk to Warren point (take the ferry across to Noss Mayo for delicious riverside lunch at the Ship Inn).

35min drive. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has enough sand for sunbathing, along with a huge number of rock pools to explore. The waters are clean and have won an award from the Marine Conservation Society and are also fairly shallow. To get a flavour of the local scenery you can take a stroll along the cliff paths, which will take you to Bovisand and Newton Ferrers.

A spectacular stretch of coastline boasting dramatic cliffs, diverse wildlife and a beach renowned for rockpooling. Wembury has walks that cater to all abilities with clifftop climbs and views out to sea or slow estuary strolls with ferry crossings. All offer stunning vistas, glimpses of wildlife and fresh coastal air. Please be aware this is a small car park accessed by narrow country lanes. At busy holiday times the car park can quickly fill up.

Owned by the National Trust with its own Marine Conservation Centre and guided rock pool rambles, Wembury, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), is not short of ways to keep you entertained. Safe, clean bathing from gently shelving sand and shale, with beautiful cliff walks to Bovisand in the west and Newton Ferrers/Noss Mayo to the east. Overall, a very unusual and interesting beach. Parking is available by the church.
