You can see Selsley Common from the hut…it’s often where you will see the paragliders taking off from. Another stunning walk full of views. Less than a ten minute drive away.
Selsley 5 mile circular walk with some hills. www.nationaltrail.co.uk. Walk number 8; the Selsley circuit or simply enjoy roaming the Common with 360 degree vistas from the top and the sunset over the Severn. We have spent many happy hours doing so and never get bored of it!
Affording a different view to Rodborough Common, Selsley is more wild and windy. The view across the Alpine church is a classic Cotswold image.
"Selsley Common has superb views over the River Severn and Malvern Hills into Wales. Its internationally significant grassland is home to a breathtaking array of wildflowers, birds and invertebrates and is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It also features a Bronze Age burial mound, 'the Toots', but it is perhaps the views that make this an ideal venue for a stroll on the Cotswold Way."
