Downtown Sydney's Premiere Performance Venue for Music, Dance, and Theatre Highland Arts Theatre, or "The HAT" as it's affectionately called, is the name of a performance venue in downtown Sydney, Nova Scotia, formerly the home of St. Andrew's Church. When the church was decommissioned in 2013, a team stepped up to transform the beloved historical building into a state of the art centre for arts and culture.

Take in a play at the HAT! The Highland Arts Theatre has so much to offer. Local talent, acting, directing and musical, puts on excellent plays for reasonable prices. Staged inside a local historic venue, this is a must see when visiting Sydney. Any fan of the stage will fall in love!
