Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

The cabin in situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons close to the market town of Abergaveny, with walks, cycle rides including mountain biking, cold water swimming. The cabin as heating on at all times, but if you want that wow factor, light up the log fire and just relax. (If you have never lit a log burner we can show you how to do it)

The high-tech gadgetry means that, at the touch of a screen, you can control the heating, close the blinds, dim the lights and play your favourite music. With spectacular views from all four levels, this open-plan former dry dock sits at the very water’s edge. Open the bi-fold glass doors from the lounge area, to get even closer to the ducks and the boats that pass by. Pets are welcome, too.

The Studio is attached to our smallholding however you have your own entrance along with private parking and garden. Please note this is part of our home so ideal for relaxing, walkers/cyclists or couples who want to relax but not to party, loud music etc, and therefore our quiet hours are 11pm- 6am. (plus we now have an indoor padel ball court for you to exercise your inner Federer!!)

Self-contained Mountain-top Retreat

Bwthyn Bach (little cottage) is our beautiful, self-contained studio, boasting incredible sunset views of the Brecon Beacons and Pen-y-Fan from your bedside. It’s perfect for a relaxing getaway, with patio and garden facilities accessible. Breakfast basics are included with fresh eggs from our hens when available Please be aware that this is only accessible by a single tarmac track that winds up the mountain. Access in the winter can be limited.

Get comfortable and cosy in our log cabin, with its own jacuzzi. The cabin overlooks a river ,real log fire , 1 min to A467 , 4 mins or 20 min walk to train station, plenty of cycle routes and walks , we don’t accept pets as we have a cat , supermarket close , short drive to Brecon beacons , we are gay friendly , free parking on drive 😄 local club 1 min walking distance ,very welcoming 😀 we don’t accept any bookings without reviews
