STAY at Ahangama

STAY at Ahangama is a 1950s built villa renovated to its current standard in 2016. The villa is very spacious and lets in plenty of light, especially in the main livingroom area. The villa features a middle courtyard with a fish pond and a pool with a deck to cool off the usually hot temperature in Galle. You can reach Ahangama beach within five minutes (walking), and Mirissa beach or Unawatuna beach in 20 minutes by vehicle. The Galle Fort is within a 25 minute drive from our property.

This luxurious, comfortable, spacious modern villa, designed by a student of the famous architect Geoffrey Bawa is set in a secluded lush tropical garden with a private swimming pool (25ft x 12ft) in a quiet residential area in the village of Unawatuna. The villa has been designed with 'keeping cool' in mind in this hot climate. The high ceilings and many french doors from all rooms ensure a constant cooling air flow throughout the villa. The villa is approved by the SLTDA.

The Villa is about a 5 minute walk to the nearest swimming beach and Unawatuna beach, Galle is about 15 minutes away by Tuk Tuk.

Weligama is only a five minute drive away and Mirissa Beach is less than fifteen minutes.

Studio Aurora offers a spacious studio with sleek design, spectacular ocean views and direct beach access. Just steps away from the best cafes, restaurants, bars, beaches and breaks, Studio Aurora is at the center of it all! During high season town can be busy and noise from the local bars on may disturb some guests. Spot peacocks, monkeys and a vast variety of birds in and around the lush gardens overlooking the surrounding paddy fields. Have a sunrise swim before working on a tan by the pool and snoozing on the hammock. The house is let on a sole use basis and has two en-suite bedrooms with king size beds. There are two full time staff. The chef comes in daily - pick from a menu and delicious food and drinks will come to you.
