On Strawberry Creek in Idyllwild's historic district, the Owl Pine Guest Cabin was built in 1922. It's the best of both worlds w/ plenty of nature (burbling creek, rock paths, trees, birds, mountain air, stars) + close to civilization (the property is near restaurants/shops). Native rock fireplace, hot tub, eclectic art, record collection/player, games, books, TV, Wifi, BBQ, fire pit hang deck. We have a chicken coop, happy to leave eggs at the cabin upon request. Welcome to Scenic View House, a spacious yet intimate midcentury home with everything you need for a perfect retreat! Dogs welcome! Open plan living space in front with incredible views, three bedrooms, with a full bathroom accessible from the main living space and a second, en suite bathroom. Mini-split AC/heating in the main room, and in-wall AC/heating in each bedroom. Hot tub, propane grill, wood-burning stove, and deck dining complete the recipe for relaxing mountain time. Curl up by the fireplace and enjoy surround-sound tunes, or have a spa-like soak after hitting the nearby trails. Vintage cabin recently renovated to add modern comfort while keeping its mountain charm. Dog friendly! The cabin has 2 apartments - this listing is for the upstairs unit, which has one bedroom, one bathroom, full kitchen, dining area, a loft for a dedicated workspace and a beautiful deck. The cabin sits in a large, tree lined lot that is shared with the downstairs basement apartment. The only shared space is the backyard and laundry room (laundry available upon request).
