Approx 1500 sf area with plenty of parking in a very rural area close to hiking and swimming or rock climbing at Hanging Rock State Park, and Pilot Knob, as well as floating the Dan River or just relaxing watching the horses play in the paddock, enjoying roasting hot dogs or smores over the fire pit. Private property on our farm with many amenities, including Wi-Fi, full kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, gym available. Very relaxing place!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. End of road privacy yet close to downtown King. With three bedrooms and two full bathrooms the whole crew can come. This cozy home is a great place to nestle in for a weekend away or to use as a base for hiking the areas trails, tubing on the Dan River, or riding the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also visit our local Mayberry like downtowns in King, Pilot Mountain and Mt.Airy. Owner lives in basement apartment and is close by if questions arise.

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.

You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere with neighbors hidden by the woods. You will have the entire upper level including an open loft with plenty of games, books, and toys. The wildlife is plentiful this year with lots of deer and wild Turkey roaming around! The sunsets are amazing!

From the Antiques that were chosen for the space, to the attention to detail in the landscape, this space has been designed to give you a sense of local country life. We hope that while you are here you will enjoy everything our local area has to offer. State Parks, Farms, Wineries, the Downtowns of Pilot Mountain and Mt. Airy, and the Historical Parks like Rock House and Horne Creek Farm.

Just built log home is wheelchair accessible with porch and deck views of Sauratown and Hanging Rock Mountain. Dogs are welcome and there is NO PET FEE! We have seasonal berries and a well-stocked fishing pond. Visit the state parks then come home to catch a breeze on the porch swing, watch fireflies or roast hotdogs at the fire pit.
