The open living space features floor-to-vaulted ceiling windows and wood-burning fireplaces. Accommodates 8-10 guests with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. New cleaning team. The Cabin on Big Creek is a unique spot, private, with singing water on three sides. The creek is wide, accessible, kid-friendly. Queen bed and double futon. Minutes from HRSP, paddling, mountain biking. To be clear: this is a hybrid between comfort and “glamping.” No WiFi, no cable, no TV. The hot & cold water sink and shower are outside(water shut off in hard freeze, so no shower then but water supplied indoors). The toilet is an outhouse. Bedding is provided, bring your own towels.

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.

After a long day, unwind with stunning views from our deck or cozy up around the built-in fire pit.

This unique property is a rustic cabin with modern amenities--created from an 1880's tobacco barn. Relax with your coffee in one of the rocking chairs on the porch, or overlooking the property on the spacious deck. This property includes 16 acres with hiking trails that lead to a 1/2 acre pond. Fish the pond and have a picnic in the peaceful setting. You are close to many outdoor recreation areas including Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks and the Dan River.

From the Antiques that were chosen for the space, to the attention to detail in the landscape, this space has been designed to give you a sense of local country life. We hope that while you are here you will enjoy everything our local area has to offer. State Parks, Farms, Wineries, the Downtowns of Pilot Mountain and Mt. Airy, and the Historical Parks like Rock House and Horne Creek Farm.

Hideaway Cabin

Our cabin is over 150 years old. IT DOES NOT HAVE A SHOWER however we do have a compost toilet and sink.The cabin was taken from an old farm nearby and was brought to my property 40 years ago.. We are close to Hanging Rock state park, Belews Lake and numerous wedding venues. The cabin sits on the parking lot of the Hillbilly Hideaway restaurant,. The cabin is cozy and I know you will love it as much as I do.

The Hanging Rock Cabin at Luna's Trail

The Hanging Rock Cabin is a rustic cabin with lots of living space and amenities. The best feature is the beautiful view of Hanging Rock. The property is on 350 acres, and there are hiking trails and multiple watercraft on the pond. Our restaurant is available Friday Lunch - Sunday Breakfast. There are sometimes large, private events downstairs. Please ask ahead if one may affect your visit.
