The Staffordshire Moorlands location feels blissfully remote. However, it’s less than 10 minutes away from Alton Towers, making it ideal for a family break away. 20 minutes from Foxtail Barns, too. Enjoy outdoor dining and share special moments with our new pizza oven. In a popular location for walking, cycling, hiking, and climbing in the Peak District.

Barn conversion nr Alton Towers/Peak District

My lovely grade II listed stone barn conversion has great views of the Churnet Valley is close to family-friendly activities including Alton Towers and is located on the edge of the Peak District. You’ll love the views. The property is perfect for couples and families (with children) and has electric gates. Soft towels and Egyptian cotton bedding are provided plus a very well equipped kitchen. The barn is set in the grounds of my home and shares my lawn/garden but there is plenty of space.

The cosy stable is located in the beautiful rural and tranquil village of Grindon in the Peak District. Situated 1000 Ft above sea level come and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills and sheep. Overlooking the famous Thor’s Cave, there is an abundance of beautiful walks from the property. Local pubs in Butterton, Hulme End and Warslow. Lovely local towns nearby include Ashbourne, Buxton, Bakewell and Leek. Grindon is the perfect get away for those craving peace and tranquility.

Hollins Lane is easily accessible from the house, The beautiful Churnet Valley, with steam trains, wildlife reserves are close by, Within 10 miles are Alton Towers, Splash Landings, Waterworld, Trentham Gardens, Monkey Forest and pottery museums.

The perfect base for a relaxing break or an activity-based holiday in the Peak District National Park. Lovely beamed, open-plan area (sitting, dining and kitchen) upstairs. The area is surrounded by nature and the perfect location to sit and watch the wildlife go by, whilst being mesmerised by the uninterrupted views of rolling countryside. Cuckoostone Barn is an excellent base to explore the wonders of the Peak District National Park, with amazing walks and cycle routes on the doorstep, or a place to simply relax and unwind in an idyllic part of the world .
