Within an easy and flat 5 minute walk from Khandallah Village is our brand new, fully independent and fully equipped 1 bedroom spacious 50m2 unit. Attached on the front of our newly built house, with your own entrance and an off-street car park right outside your door, it doesn't get more convenient! Suitable for up to 4 people, with a Super King bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living area (note the sofa bed is only available as a bed for those paying for more than 2 guests).

Welcome! This is a clean, cosy, comfortable, fully furnished n healthy bottom flat (plant-based interior paint: no harmful chemicals - no smoking/vaping please). Excellent base for visiting the Wellington region and accessing the ferries: 3-min drive to the motorway (noise can be heard outside of the building, but it is peaceful and calm inside), 13-min walk to Johnsonville Centre, easy access to Uber, bus and train to city. Feels like home away from home: park in the d/way, great amenities :)

Your home away from home is a 5 minute taxi or bus ride or a 30 minute walk to the Wellington CBD and the main sports and event stadiums. Parking is on the street.

Makara Beach Escape

Come unwind at Makara Beach, where you can enjoy a stroll along the coastline and take in the fresh sea air. The rugged coast offers stunning views across the Cook Strait, with glimpses of the South Island, especially beautiful at sunset! If the weather turns rainy, the local boat shed is a great spot to duck into and enjoy a relaxed game of pool. For those wanting more adventure, tackle the Makara Walkway loop track — a rewarding 3–4 hour walk with spectacular coastal and hilltop views 😉

Hidden gem - best of two worlds.

An historic cottage in a sheltered dell in the country near Makara Beach, fully restored Te whare iti is 10-15 minutes walk from the rugged Makara coast and roughly 35 minutes from the Wellington CBD. The preserved exterior enfolds very clean, warm and comfortable modern amenities. Importantly- you must provide your own transport as there is no public transport to Makara from Karori the nearest suburb, some 9.5 kms away. Makara is true NZ countryside with a windy, narrow road to match!.

Modern, bright and spacious studio

This is a clean, bright, modern studio with plenty of space for one or two people. In May 2023 this was double glazed so now much warmer and drier and quieter. It has fibre internet, cooking facilities and a washing machine so you are completely self sufficient here. The tv is set up so as well as free channels you can log into apps like a Netflix, Neon etc. With the train station so close you can be in the city in 14 minutes or there is off street parking if you have your own car.

Just steps from rugged beaches and scenic walks, it’s a 7-minute drive to the airport and 10 minutes to the CBD. Enjoy a comfy bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, and complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks. Relax in the tide pools or explore the area’s dining, hiking, and coastal adventures. A great base to experience Wellington’s stunning coast and vibrant city life!

It's a walk up to a special view of Wellington

Nestled against the bush just above our home, our studio offers an amazing view of Wellington Harbour. Reaching it requires a brief uphill walk, but for those who enjoy the outdoors and don’t shy away from a little exercise, the reward is well worth it. The breathtaking views and cosy accommodation make the effort part of the experience. That said, if you prefer level access or are travelling with particularly heavy luggage, our studio may not be the best fit.

Self-contained Studio-Wadestown

Newly built downstairs self-contained studio unit in a century old Wadestown bungalow. A complimentary continental breakfast is provided. Unit has a separate entrance, and guests are welcome to share the deck and garden areas set amongst the bushclad hills. Centrally located being a 25-minute walk or less than 10-minute bus ride to the city and Sky Stadium. Bus stop at the gate. Approximately a 10-minute car ride to the ferry terminals. Free on street parking.

Helston Hideaway

Fully furnished apartment just off SH1 with easy access to Wellington's city centre, the ferry and Sky stadium. A perfect stop off on the way to a game, a concert or to hop on the ferry. This is a great base for enjoying the Wellington region and the northern suburbs. It is a 8 minute walk to Johnsonville centre with access to #1 bus line and the train. This apartment is on the ground floor of a two-storey house. BBQ available on request.

Country Garden Retreat 12 min from CBD

The guest suite (2 guests) is a private wing of the house with its own courtyard entrance. Free parking is available. The suite overlooks the garden and the courtyard where you can relax in privacy and enjoy the sun in the afternoons.The neighbourhood enjoys plenty of birdsong in the mornings and evenings.
