The Shanty at Blue Mountain

The Shanty is a one room 200 sq.ft. cottage for a weekend get-away, a short to long-term work assignment or the perfect spot for creative work like composing or writing. It is three miles from access to the Appalachian Trail and is an ideal respite for thru hikers. It is a quiet, sunny room just a few steps from a private bathroom in the main house. Views to the west and north of the Blue Mountain. Continental style breakfast is included. Weekly and monthly discounts are offered.

Turning Branch Trail House

Breath deep, sit back and relax on the adirondack chairs with a panoramic view of the woods. Watch the whitetail deer pass from the deck and listen for the wild turkeys gobbling down the trail. This recently built (2018) chalet is located on a private 4 acres with property adjoins 13,000 acres of woods and state game lands for hiking, hunting atv's and more. The wood burning fireplace is perfect for snuggling up in the winter or enjoy the outdoor fire pits in the summer months.
