This quiet retreat perched on the Cumberland Plateau was recently featured in Travel + Leisure and gives you access to the hikes and waterfalls the area is known for, while offering an elevated experience. Enjoy the soaking tub, gas fireplace, fast wifi, Smart TV, well-appointed kitchen, and bluff views. Sewanee University, Cumberland Caverns, Fiery Gizzard, and Sweetens Cove are all within a short drive.

Lightning Bug Cottage – Cozy 3BR on Sewanee Campus

Lightning Bug Cottage is a cozy 900 sqft home tucked right on Sewanee’s campus — 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a huge wraparound porch overlooking a native-flower yard that’s a favorite stop for local birds. Fast wifi and a dedicated workspace make it easy to get work done, and the quiet, tree-lined street keeps things peaceful. This is our own family home, and we love sharing it. Per University policy, the home is only available during University sponsored or approved events.

Historic stone home in Sewanee, TN, built in 1871 by Samuel C. Hoge. Located on Kentucky Avenue, it's just minutes from downtown and "The Pitt" sports field. The Hoge Farmhouse blends 1900s charm with modern comforts, offering a serene retreat close to Sewanee Memorial Cross, shops, and restaurants. Nestled near the "Ballpark" and "Perimeter" trails, it invites guests to relax on the covered porch or by the large stone fireplace, immersing in Sewanee's rich history.
