This trail head is about 10 miles up a dirt road right. The view from the fire lookout is stunning and 360 degrees. The trail head for East Weaver Lakes is just before the fire lookout. It is only a few miles in, but it is steep and rocky. There is a picnic table at the trail head.
Weaver Bally Fire Lookout

There is a profusion of trail heads from the Coffee Creek area. A few shorter hikes, and some of my favorites, are Stoddard Lake, Boulder Lakes, Lake Eleanor and Deadfall Lake. The area is stunning and in the center of the Alps. There is a Pizza place on the intersection of Hwy 3 and Coffee Creek that has live music on weekends. The beer is cold and the music is good!

Jake Jackson Memorial Museum
780 Main StHighland Center is a wonderful place to spend some time. There is rotating art shows throughout the year. I have entered the juried photography show a few times. The grounds are a lovely place to meander and perhaps have a picnic.

Take a stroll down the main part of town. There are lots of fun little shops, a coffee house, antiques, books, places to grab a bite. It has an historic feel and is quaint.
