Best best fish tacos on Maui, not kidding! Fresh large pieces of fish, gluten free tasty soft taco shells, mango coleslaw, these are da bomb! Beer and wine for sale at the one closest to the house, the smaller location in N. Kihei is BYOB, very small. The larger location at 1279 S Kihei Rd is upstairs with great views and fun shops around it in the shopping center.

I am a complete connoisseur of sushi. I like this place in Kihei, but the location up in Kapalua is a little better vibe and atmosphere in case you are up near Kannapali or Lahaina side.
They have special discounts if you eat early or late.

1819 S Kihei RdI am a complete connoisseur of sushi. I like this place in Kihei, but the location up in Kapalua is a little better vibe and atmosphere in case you are up near Kannapali or Lahaina side.

It is in the valley where the mountain ranges come together, great views, good elevation. It's not far from Wailuku/Kahalui area.

Everything Else
It's more about the journey and views of the ocean on the road of the cliffs. There are tons of lil stops like Glen's homemade coconut ice-cream on the right side of the road and taco places all pretty cool places to stop and get out of the car. Hana itself is a small lil town, not much there. The drive is the best. There is one restaurant in Hana and some excellent food trucks. It's worth it to drive all the way around vs driving up and back on Hana highway... you already did that! The other side has a few miles of dirt road with potholes in it, but then it is paved all the way back around to Kula! Wide open land and cliffs on the south Maui side above the house here.

It's the famous "heart rock" where there is a heart formed in the rock on the cliffs. The blowhole spews water up forced in from the ocean. It's a nice hike down and back up. Don't get too close to the water or you will get soaked or fall in! Nice to hit Lahaina before or after. There is also an art gallery past the blowhole another 30 min. Roads are single lane, paved, yet tight. Worth driving all the way around though. Drive home on 380 Wailuku route is more scenic than the main highway 311.
