I'm not a big fan of the 'Markt'; it's beautiful but way too busy. But...it is busy for a reason. This place has a great terrace and nice food. Check out the other places around here; there are many!

One of those places where it only gets crowded after 2am...can be a bit weird but it's always a good time.

My favourite part of the beach as it is nice and quiet with an amazing dune landscape. The restaurant itself is large with a nice array of food and lots of places to sit outside and stare at the sea.

If you are up for a party, Woodstock '69 is at the end of a strip of beachplaces that are laidback during the day but go loose at night! Love the hippie vibe and the campfire here!

Special location with a windmill, a river and an shipyard and still right in the centre. I've not had the pleasure to eat here yet but i here it's good! Also, check out the rest of the neighbourhood

This is about 5km from my house and on my running route. Walk over a 'hunters' trail' past the Spaarne and through some typical Dutch landscape (mills, bridges and lots of grass).

Great place for a coffee and some food in pretty location overlooking the river. There are some nice restaurants closeby. Also check out the other side of the river for galleries and fun little stores

Only 10 minutes from my house to this 'city forest' is and you pass through a lovely park with deer and pancakes along the way! Also, watch out for that amazing building build by Napoleon's brother.

Prettiest area in Amsterdam! Take bus 80 from busstop 'rustenburgerlaan' (that's near New York Pizza) and 40 minutes later you'll be there. Nightbuses on Fr and Sa go back until 04:30am
